Centre Management

Yarralea Children's centre is a stand-alone, not-for-profit community children's centre, led by our experienced and committed Coordinator Stephanie Willey and supported by our capable and dedicated staff team.   Our qualified and experienced teachers hold Bachelor degrees and our educators hold Certificate 3 and Diplomas of Children's Services. 

The centre is governed by our Committee of Management, which works closely with staff to carry out its responsibilities as employer.  Being involved in the committee is a great opportunity to make an important contribution to Yarralea's management and strategic direction, and to get to know parents, families and educators. 

Committee of Management

• Made up of parents, guardians and association members

• Makes major management decisions about finances, service delivery and broad policies. The committee is not involved in day-to-day administration - this is handled by the Officer Manager.

• Meets monthly (meetings are open to all parents)

• Annual General Meeting in February

• Members contribute to the centre and learn about its operations

• Policy documents, executive duties, constitution, legal agreement, meeting minutes and how to nominate are available on request
